MOU Collaboration between Phuket Rajabhat University and Krabi Provincial Administration Organization School to develop the Science – Math Program

PR PKRU: On 15 July 2020, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, President of Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU); Asst. Prof. Dr. Thawatchai Thumthong, Vice-President for Academic Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Pramote Porkha, Dean of Faculty of Education; and PKRU Staff gave a warm welcome to Mr. Somsak Kittidhrakul, Chief Executive of Krabi Provincial Administration Organization (KPAO), Mrs. Bussakorn Horkun, Director of Krabi Provincial Administration Organization School (KPAOS) and her working team members, at the Academic Council Meeting Room, Chalermprakiat Building, Phuket Rajabhat University.
 
 
 
The main purpose of their visit was to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Krabi Provincial Administration Organization School and Phuket Rajabhat University by the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Science and Technology. On this occasion, the two parties had a collaborative discussion about the development of the Science – Math Program of the school.
 
Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, President of Phuket Rajabhat University mentioned that the university offers various educational programs for students in pre-school, primary school, secondary school and tertiary education. It is important for the university to establish collaborative strategies to work with basic educational institutions located in the Andaman area for enhancing academic potentials of university lecturers and students.
 
This collaboration constitutes learning platforms, whereby the educational resources, body of knowledge, academic skills and teaching techniques are exchanged for the development. The main content of this collaboration is focused on the academic development for the school in the fields of science, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. The university will support the academic enhancement of the school by providing some curriculum developments and academic boosting activities arranged and delivered by the team of university lecturers and students. At the beginning of the collaboration, the university will provide some training programs for the teachers in learning areas of science and mathematics, as well as development of teaching and learning procedures, classroom measurement and assessment. This collaboration can help the KPAO and KPAOS achieve their goals and be one of the leading schools in the southern region in the fields of mathematics, science and technology.
