PRPKRU (July 22nd 2020) Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasamkan, the President of Phuket Rajabhat University; Mr. Watcharin Pathomwattanapong, the Chief Administrator of Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization; Mr. Wuttipong Paringkan, the Director of Phuket Mangrove resource Management Center; the executives from related private and government organizations and network signed the MOU to promote the Environment Protection Youth Volunteer Project. The event was held at Phuket Rajabhat University Council Meeting Room, Chalerm Phra Kiat Building, Phuket Rajabhat University.

 

 

 

The reason  behind this cooperation is that the environment on the island has been affected by the rapidly increasing population and development, especially problems in environment and disaster management. The related sections realize that the best way to cope with problems is to educate and make people, entrepreneurs and local community understand environment protection scheme; the main target group of the project is the youths who will be responsible in working on this matter in the future by being trained in correct environment protection, primary disaster mitigation, and giving suggestion to tourists under the course provided by the university’s Research and Development Institute and alliances. The project confirms the intention of the university in being the university for local community development.
