Prof. Dr. Somboon Suksamran appointed as the Chairman of PKRU Council
PRPKRU (March 12th 2021) Phuket Rajabhat University hosted a ceremony appointing the Chairman of Phuket Rajabhat University Council and the members of the council, according to the royal order, at Kae Saed Meeting Room, Chalerm Phra Kiat Building in Phuket Rajabhat University. The newly appointed Chairman of the council, Prof. Dr. Somboon Suksamran, and members of the council took their positions in front of the picture of H.M. the King Wachilalongkorn before giving a statement in policy and working direction of the university.
There were honorable guests attending the ceremony including Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, the President of PKRU; Mr. Piyapong Chuwong, the Deputy Governor of Phuket; executives of the university, staff and students, and heads of government offices.

Prof. Dr. Somboon Suksamran said that “Phuket Rajabhat University is one of 38 Rajabhat University established and always supported by the king. The name of the university means the king’s scholars reflecting the trust of the king in this university to work on country development as his close courtiers. The university council has strong intention to respond to this royal trust by dedication to develop the university, both in terms of policy and direction, for excellent performance of education, research, community service, teacher production and academic rank support, arts and culture conservation, and natural resource and environment protection. We are also pleased to hear opinions which would benefit us in sustainable development of our actions and organization. I hope that everyone in this ceremony will be strong partners with power contributing to the university, to serve society in the basics of social responsibility as stated in the philosophy of the university.”
