PKRU Arts Day 2021 by Office of Art and Culture
PRPKRU (March 16th 2021) Office of Art and Culture in Phuket Rajabhat University hosted an activity called Arts Day to show the activities of the center in arts and culture conservation service, which is a part of the university’s strategy in community development.
The event was held at PKRU Arts and Culture Center; the opening session was presided over by Dr. Piangchit Tantiwarodom, the Vice President in Administration. There were executives of the university attending the event, including Mr. Suthep Mungkhun, the Vice President in Special Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Khan Phayoongphan, the Director : Office of Arts and Culture ; together with honorable guests, university staff, students and local residents.
The objectives of this event were to promote local arts and culture conservation and to exhibit the works of the students, lecturers, artists, and arts and Phuket civil society network for arts and culture conservation; with the intention to raise up the awareness of people in importance and conservation of local arts and culture, along with promoting applied arts and culture resources in society.
The activities in the event were: a lecture on “Clean Food Consuming Culture and Future Development Trend”; local food and dessert cooking demonstration by the Faculty of Science and Technology; exhibitions of arts and culture conservation works in contemporary art called “Phuket Identity: The Beautiful Diverse Culture of Phuket” by the Phuket Artist and Student Network; portrait drawing service by students from the Visual Art program in the Faculty of Humanity and Social Science; music performance in the garden by students of Musical Study in the Faculty of Education; and a fashion show of local costumes by honorable models from the Phuket Arts and Culture Network, Phuket Personality Development and Cultural Conservation and teenage models.
