CSR: PKRU volunteers teach children in Phuket


PRPKRU (March 19th 2021) The Public Relations Division in the President’s Office of Phuket Rajabhat University arranged a CSR (Community Social Responsibility) activity of volunteer teaching at Thepkasattri School in Thepkasattri Sub-district, Thalang District, Phuket. The opening session of the event was presided over by Dr. Piangjit Tanticharatwarodom, the Vice President in Administration; together with Mrs. Thipaporn Pornpirom, the Director of the President’s Office; Mrs. Rattana Chanchana, the Director of the Central Division; Mr. Manit Klaisuwan, the Principal of Wat Thepkasattri School; staff or PKRU PR Division; PKRU students; and Thepkasattri teachers and students.


Mrs. Thipaporn stated that the objective of this activity was to create a reputation and image of the university among local students and residents following PKRU philosophy in being a ‘higher education institute that drives local society development on the basis of social responsibility’. The activity included lessons of football, reading, writing, art for P. 6 students conducted by lecturers and students in programs of Physical Study and Thai Language in Faculty of Education, and Fine Art Program in Faculty of Humanity and Social Science.


Meanwhile, Dr. Piangjit expressed gratitude to the school and community for giving the opportunity to PKRU students to show their abilities and to serve the community in this CSR activity. This was not only an activity contributing to improvement of students’ skills and abilities, but it also created the reputation of the university’s image and missions, as well as being a channel to build up a collaboration network between local schools and PKRU in the future.
