PKRU helps Medical Staff in COVID–19 Vaccination

During April 1st – 7th 2021, executives, staff and students in Phuket Rajabhat University facilitated local residents to get COVID–19 vaccines at several stations around Phuket including the X–Terminal in Phuket International Airport, 4,000 Seat Gymnasium at Saphan Hin Park, Angsana Laguna Phuket Hotel, and Phuket Orchid Karon Hotel. The staff and students of PKRU assisted in the registration and screening process as well as worked with medical staff from both government and private hospitals and officers from Phuket Provincial Public Health Office to ensure that that locals would get vaccinated fast and conveniently, pursuant to the goal of the province in ensuring trust and safety after the Center of Economic Situation Administration (CESA) had approved the plan for tourists who have COVID–19 vaccinations and negative tests to enter the country from July 1st 2021 at the same time as reopening the international terminal at Phuket International Airport. The CESA approved Phuket to welcome vaccinated tourists to the island without quarantine needed. However, 70% of the locals are required to get COVID – 19 vaccinations by then.
