Paweenoot Onkaew From PKRU Awarded Phuket Outstanding Youth Award


Congratulations to Paweenoot Onkaew, a student in the Thai Language Program at the Faculty of Humanity and Social Science, who was awarded a Phuket Outstanding Youth award and will be the representative of Phuket to compete in the National Outstanding Youth Awards 2021 hosted by the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand.
The selection of Phuket Outstanding Youth was led by Mr. Piyapong Choowong, the Deputy Governor of Phuket, on May 6th 2021 at Tsunami Conference Room in Phuket City Hall.
The criteria in the selection were voluntary works, morality, knowledge and abilities to benefit oneself, society, and country, plus being a good role model to other youths. Paweenoot had presented her portfolio and was interviewed by a committee;
she was awarded the role because of her ability to make ballads – like recite Thai poems and traditional tales, singing Thai folksongs, being an MC, speaker, instructor in academic activity camps and being a volunteer to help the community, society, and university; she will be given a certificate by the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand’s Phuket Office shortly, for being a good role model to other youths and would be given the certificate, honor pin, and scholarship from the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand, if she is awarded the Outstanding Youth on the National Youth Day, September 20th 2021.
