PKRU Demonstration School to attend SMILE competition by Raffles Trainers
PRPKRU (June 24th 2021) Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, the President of Phuket Rajabhat University; Dr. Piangjit Tanticharatwarodom, the Vice President in Administration; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwan Chatmaneeroongcharoen, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, spoke at a press conference with lecturers, students, press, and Dr. Suradapat Sakulkasemchai, the executive of Raffles Trainers (Thailand) and Raffles Thailand Excellence Language School, at Panyajan conference room in Kuru Charoemrat Building, saying that PKRU Demonstration School would attend the academic skill competition called the 1st SMILE and SMILE–C.
The President of PKRU said that “Raffles has assisted the academic collaboration between PKRU and Ping Yi Secondary School in Singapore that focused on the development of academic skills promoting activities, especially the communication between the school executives, teachers, students, and parents to enhance skills in English, Chinese, Mathematics, and Technology among the university; educational resource sharing for education level improvements; strengthen the relationship between the two organizations for international opportunities of the executives, teachers, and students. PKRU and Raffles Trainers have brought to the students the online courses of Singapore Mathematics Integrative Learning in English and Singapore Mathematics Integrative Learning in English and Chinese conducted by the Singaporean teachers. This is corresponding to the fundamental education policy of Phuket in promoting Singapore Model of learning. Furthermore, to evaluate the learning achievement of the students, the Demonstration School would send students to join the 1st SMILE and SMILE – C academic skill competition hosted by Raffles Trainers on July 19th - 22nd 2021.”
สำหรับกิจกรรมพัฒนาทักษะผู้เรียนนั้น มหาวิทยาลัยได้ร่วมกับราฟเฟิลส์ฯ นำบทเรียนออนไลน์ คณิตศาสตร์สิงคโปร์บูรณาการภาษาอังกฤษ หรือ SMILE และภาษาจีน หรือ SMILE-C ที่สอนจริงโดยครูชาวสิงคโปร์ ให้นักเรียนใช้ในการเรียนรู้ผ่านระบบออนไลน์ ซึ่งสอดรับกับนโยบายในการยกระดับการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานของภูเก็ตให้มีรูปแบบการเรียนรู้ Singapore Model ทั้งนี้มหาวิทยาลัยจะส่งนักเรียนโรงเรียนสาธิตฯ เข้าร่วมสอบแข่งขันทักษะทางวิชาการ SMILE และ SMILE-C ครั้งที่ 1 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยราฟเฟิลส์ ระหว่างวันที่ 19-22 กรกฎาคม 2564 เพื่อวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนรู้”
