International Women Scholarship Awarding Ceremony 2021
PRPKRU (July 9th 2021) At the conference room in the Faculty of Management Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiraporn Prasarnkarn, the Vice President in Plans and Administration, and the coordinator with Phuket International Women’s Foundation, led students of Phuket Rajabhat University to welcome representatives of Phuket International Women’s Foundation, including Mrs. Missy Devlin, the President of Phuket International Women’s Foundation; Khun Wipa Tanmanatrakyul, the President for Scholarships of Phuket International Women’s Foundation; Khun Nittaya Darroch and Khun Orawan Pimbley, on the committee of the foundation; coming to meet scholarship students and to talk about their studying results and their lives. In the 2021 academic year, the foundation gives 16 scholarships to the students in PKRU.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiraporn Prasarnkarn said in the scholarship awarding ceremony: “Thank you to the foundation for supporting students in PKRU who have been affected by COVID–19. So far, the university has assisted them by giving discounts on tuition fees or let the students pay the fee by instalments; helping them with part time jobs, and supporting them with other welfare. Even though the situation now is more difficult, we will try our best to support our students until their graduation. Our mission would not be complete without the helping hands of Phuket International Women’s Foundation and Phuket International Women’s Club, who always support the university in terms of scholarships and give us suggestions in taking care of the students. Their dedication has made the scholarship students be successful and qualified people who will be the future power for local development. Moreover, getting the scholarship will encourage them in giving and sharing to others. I hope that all scholarship students take this opportunity to improve themselves and our society, in their best efforts.”
