PKRU to work on “Nature and Environment Protecting Youth Volunteers Training”

(June 23rd 2022) Phuket Rajabhat University signed MOU in “Phuket Nature and Environment Protecting Youth Volunteer Training” with Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO), Office of Environment Area 15 Phuket, Prince of Songkla University Phuket Campus, and Phuket Network of Nature and Environment Protecting Volunteers. The event was held at Royal Phuket City Hotel; Asst. Prof. Rangsan Pholsamak, the Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology was the representative of the university to sign the MOU with Mr. Rewat Areerob, the President of PPAO; and the representatives from related government agencies.

The objectives of this training are to educate the students in environment management, raising the awareness and leadership among the students in nature and environment protection, and to enhance collaboration between academic personnel and academic institutes on the island to educate and encourage their students nature and environment protection. 
 
 For PRKU, the project is responsible by Dr. Atchariya Suwannasang, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pattarida Chupeng, and Ajarn Sutthinee Pornpan, who are the lecturers from Faculty of Agricultural Technology. Apart of the MOU signing ceremony, there were exhibitions about blue crab banking, stop buying berried crab campaign, and special talk by Dr. Atchariya Suwannasang in “Environmental Management Protocol in Phuket”.
