PRPKRU (July 18th 2022) Mr. Narong Woonsiew, the Governor of Phuket; Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, the President of Phuket Rajabhat University; the university executives, staff, and students welcomed the General Dapong Rattanasuwan, the Privy Counselor, during his visit to the university to inspect the performance of Phuket Rajabhat University in “Teacher Education and Development” and “Educational Quality Improvement”; the Privy Counselor also listened to the conclusion of the project called “Soft Skill Development by Social Engineering Process” presented by the Vice President in Student Affairs and student representatives; and visited the laboratory and instruction innovation rooms in Faculty of Education.


Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankan, the President of PKRU, informed the Privy Counselor that “After the meeting with the counselor on the September 20th 2021, we have been working on improving the university to better at local community services even in the COVID – 19 situation. Now as the situation is getting better, the university reoperate the normal educational service along with the participation and collaboration from the various networks.
In this occasion, the plan and result in teacher education and development, which is the identity of the university since it was the teacher college, was presented to the Privy Counselor by the Dean of Faculty of Education; together with the Educational Quality Improvement Strategy presented by the Acting Dean of Faculty of Agricultural Technology, the Dean of Faculty of Humanity and Social Science, the Dean of Faculty of Management Science, the Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology.


The university has been running all plans, strategy and operation following Phuket Rajabhat University Strategy for Local Community Development under the Royal Policy 20 Years (2560 – 2579 B.E.) which focuses on educating excellent graduates through the instruction programs for strength and sustainable local community development. We will use the advices from the Privy Counselor and team to improve our performance and to make Phuket as the learning community.”
