PKRU President Talks about Adding Value to Local Andaman Products in Thailand Today
PRPKRU (8 Aug 2022) Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, the President of Phuket Rajabhat University, joined the TV program recording, Thailand Today, at NBT2HD and NBT World channels.
The President talked about the mission of the university in adding value to local Andaman products by the collaboration between the university researcher and the locals. There are plenty products developed including anchovy cookies, Okra skincare, Eco – print fabric, Ta Khao batik fabric, Phuket pineapple meat marinating powder, goat milk for pets, Phuket shrimp paste dipping sauce, Pineapple facecare products, Garcinia tea, and etc. Besides, the president also talked about the procedure to present those products in the competitive market and making the products as the identity Andaman. The president also added that this was the mission of the university to be the university of creativity and to develop local community and country by serving knowledge, local wisdom, and innovation.
After that the team from NBT World visited Agritech and Innovation Center or AIC in Faculty of Agriculture Technology. AIC has been playing important role in the development of agriculture in Andaman region.
