Bio Circular Green Economy Themed Science Week at PKRU
PRPKRU (August 18th 2022) Faculty of Science and Technology at Phuket Rajabhat University organized the Science Week 2022 under the theme of Bio Circular Green Economy or BCG. The opening ceremony of the event was held at Tian Sirindhorn Convention Room in Chalerm Phrakiat Building; presided over by Mr. Narong Woonsiew, the Governor of Phuket; with Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, the President of PKRU; Asst. Prof. Rangsan Polsamak, the Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology; the university executives, staff, students, and private business entrepreneurs attending the event.
Asst. Prof. Rangsan Ponsamak, the Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology said that “the science week is held around the National Science Day, August 18th of every year, to honor H.M. the King Rama IV who is the Father of Thai Science and H.M. the King Rama IX for his dedication to promote science and technology for country development; as well as offer the opportunity to students, teachers, and local residents to participate science and technology activities promoting science, technology, and innovation knowledge among Thai youths.”
Science Week at PKRU is held during August 17th – 19th. This year theme is Bio Circular Green Economy featuring lots of fun and interesting exhibitions and activities e.g. H.M. the King Rama IV Honoring Exhibition, H.M. the King Rama X Honoring Exhibition, online exhibitions from the university science and technology programs, math and science competitions, science show, science and technology invention competition, long distance glider making and racing, painting competition, speech contest, and seminar in BCG. Moreover, the were the award giving ceremony for the exception alumni including Mrs. Pissamai Engchuan, Digital Technology Program; Waraget Liewtrakul, Envimental Science Program; Mr. Kanisorn Chatreewong, Public Health Program, Mr. Weerachai Sedson, Industrial Technology Program; and Mr. Kittiwong Chansattham, Industrial Technology Program.
