PKRU adds value to the Phuket dessert 'O El' through scientific recipe development.

PRPKRU (October 29th -31st 2022) The Technology Clinic, Faculty of Science and Technology at Phuket Rajabhat University, in collaboration with the Department of Science Service (DSS), hosted a 'O El' (Phuket local dessert) making and tasting workshop at the Faculty of Science and Technology Building; numerous researchers from the PKRU Technology Clinic, researchers and food recipe developers from the Community Technology Fund, and food entrepreneurs from Phuket attended the event.


This workshop aimed to use science, technology, and innovation to add value to local cuisines and desserts while also raising production standards to an acceptable and commercial level. There were 25 participants in this workshop who participated in the 'O El' making and sensory taste. The workshop results will be used to develop 'O El' production planning and process, which will help to sustain local dessert identity and generate income for local people.
