PKRU receives scholarships from Toyota Thailand Foundation
PRPKRU (December 16th 2022) Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn, Acting President of PKRU, led the university executives, staff, and students in welcoming Mr. Pramon Sutheewong, President of Toyota Foundation Thailand, and the foundation committee member to the Toyota Thailand Foundation scholarship giving ceremony 2022 at PKRU. The ceremony was held at Tian Sirindhon conference room, Chalerm Phrakiat Building, Phuket Rajabhat University, and was organized by the Student Development Division under the supervision of the President's Office.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn said that “Phuket Rajabhat University has been working on higher education management for more than half century; the university has been trying to complete its mission and responsibilities, especially educating the students to be qualified graduates who contribute to the development of the country. Now, there are 13,759 students enrolled in the university; some of them lack of educational fund or supporter and many of them were financially suffered by the pandemic of COVID - 19. As a result, the university has been working to assist these students in meeting their tuition and living expenses; Toyota Thailand Foundation is one of the organizations assisting the university in caring for these students by providing scholarships. Since 2006, the foundation has provided scholarships to PKRU students totaling 1.25 baht. The foundation's assistance enabled PKRU 321 graduates to complete their education; this is a significant contribution for PKRU and our scholarship students, as well as human development and youth education support."
นอกจากในส่วนของมหาวิทยาลัยแล้ว มูลนิธิโตโยต้าประเทศไทย ยังเป็นหน่วยงานหลักที่ให้ความสำคัญในการช่วยเหลือ และดูแลนักศึกษาเพื่อให้พวกเขาสามารถศึกษาเล่าเรียนได้อย่างเต็มศักยภาพ จึงได้ให้ความอนุเคราะห์สนับสนุนทุนการศึกษาแก่นักศึกษาตลอดมา เป็นระยะเวลา 17 ปี นับตั้งแต่ปีพุทธศักราช 2549 โดยทุนการศึกษาที่นักศึกษาได้รับจากมูลนิธิโตโยต้า ประเทศไทย รวมเป็นเงิน 1,25 ล้านบาท และนักศึกษาที่ได้รับทุนมูลนิธิโตโยต้าประเทศไทยที่สำเร็จการศึกษาแล้วมีจํานวน 321 คน ความอนุเคราะห์ทุนการศึกษาจากมูลนิธิโตโยต้าประเทศไทย ถือเป็นคุณูปการที่ยิ่งใหญ่สำหรับมหาวิทยาลัย และสำหรับนักศึกษาทุนทุกคน นับเป็นการเสียสละที่มีคุณค่าต่อการส่งเสริม และพัฒนาคน ตลอดจนเป็นการประสานพลังที่มีส่วนสร้างคุณภาพชีวิตให้เยาวชนได้มีโอกาสทางการศึกษาที่แข็งแกร่งขึ้น
