PKRU to organize “Maholan Festival” to celebrate its 50th anniversary
(January 13th 2023) Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn, Acting President of Phuket Rajabhat Phuket (PKRU), presided over the press conference for the university's 50th year anniversary celebration, "Maholan Festival," which will be held at PKRU's Piromrat Circle on February 15th -17th 2023.
In the press conference, representatives from the university network also presented information for activities in the celebrating event including Mr. Rewat Areerob, the President of Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization; Dr. Wipawan Koosuwan, the President of Phuket Rajabhat University Activity Promotion Committee; Dr. Boonsuppha Tanthai, the Vice President in Engagement Administratoin; Asst. Prof. Dr. Khan Phayoongphan, the Director of PKRU Office of Art and Culture; and Khun Panatchakorn Jaiyen, the Vice President of Phuket Tourism Association.
According to Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn, "since 1971, or over 50 years, the university has served the local community of Phuket, Phang Nga, and Krabi as the local community for local development; and this is the concept derived for this year's anniversary."
PKRU, which is located in a world-class tourism destination, has educated students in accordance with the tourism market. Furthermore, the university, as a learning center for people of all ages and groups, contributes to local art and culture conservation and community development through projects and research under the university vision.
In addition to celebrating the anniversary with fun activities, PKRU will use this occasion to strengthen its collaboration with alliances in order to improve its performance in local and regional development.
This celebrating event is open for students, parents, tourist, and locals to join activities including:

(15-17 Feb) PKRU OPEN HOUSE: workshops, exhibitions, local food and products stalls
(15-17 Feb) Phallwat Phumi Andaman Exhibition presenting the story of PKRU for over 50 years of serving community, Batik fabric workshop, and other activities all along February including:
(5 Feb) SATIT FAMILY FUN RUN 2023 ระยะทาง 1 km. / 4 km.
(7-15 Feb) Footsal Competition Male/ Female and PKRU Football Cup
(12-18 Feb) Kaset Fair presenting agricultural innovation, seminar, and OTOP products
(18 Feb) Phuket Night Run 2023 #PKRU50+ ณ Phuket Old Town, 3 km. / 5 km. / 10 km. in collaboration with Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, Phuket Tourism Association; to generating scholarship for students in Hotel, Tourism, and Hospitality.
