PKRU opens PKRU Anniversary 50+ “Maholan Festival”

PRPKRU (February 15, 2023) Phuket Rajabhat University opened the event celebrating its 50th anniversary, “Maholan Festival PKRU 50+”. The opening of the event was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn, Acting President of PKRU, which was attended by honorable guests, university executives, staff, and students attended.
Phuket Rajabhat University, formerly known as the Teacher Collage, was founded on June 9th, 1971. The university began with the goal of providing learning management in order to produce teachers for various fields and ages. In addition, the university has been working on research, providing community academic services, and conserving local art and culture, as well as educating students on labor market knowledge and skills. For the past 50 years, the university has served as a learning center for all types of people, and this year, it celebrated its long history of providing education and services to the local community by hosting the "Maholan Festival," which featured a variety of entertaining and educational activities. e.g. Maholan Music Contest 2023, PKRU OPEN HOUSE/ International Conference – Batik: the Asian Mutual Culture, Local food and products market, Futsal Competition, student performances, Kaset Fair – Feb 12th -19th, SATIT FAMILY FUN RUN 2023, and concert GMM Grammy artists including Big Ass / Noom Kala/ Joey Phuwasit/ and Pop Pongkul
Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn, Acting President of PKRU stated that "PKRU intends to be creative university providing education, local wisdom, and innovation for sustainable development in local community and country which corresponds to the meaning of university name - the king's scholars. Not only do we work on education management, but we also conduct research that benefits the public, preserve local art and culture, and provide services to locals. Furthermore, we are establishing a learning society by educating qualified graduates under the royal direction of King Wachiralongkorn. Everyone at the university gives their all to those missions, and it is with this pride that we celebrate our 50th anniversary.
This Maholan Festival PKRU 50+ event is organized with the enthusiasm of everyone at PKRU to share people-educating and entertaining activities that reflect the university's identity. The event also serves as a good starting point for strengthening relationships and collaboration between the university and local supportive organizations.
