PKRU to work with Baan Yan Yao Municipality School in implementing Math learning innovation
PRPKRU (May 8th, 2023) At Chalermratch Conference Room, Asst. Prof. Tawatchat Toomthong, Vice President in Academic Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Anuwat Jirawattanapanich, President of Mathematics Program, Faculty of Education at Phuket Rajabhat University, signed an MOU with Baan Yan Yao Municipality School represented by Mr. Kasem Worasitthichai, School Director, and Mr. Santisuk Na Thalang, Mayor of Takua Pa in order to encourage collaboration classroom Math learning innovation implementation.
"This collaboration was initiated by the Mathematics Program in accordance with the university's mission of being a community service university." The program is competent and knowledgeable in implementing Lesson Study and Open Approach in primary math classrooms from G. 1 to G. 6, allowing students to solve math problems on their own. This also encourages considerable classroom activity, such as brainstorming, thinking, resources, and student forces in learning and growing their math skills." Ajarn Tawatchai stated.
The Faculty of Education is currently integrating learning innovation in math classrooms of Takua Pa Municipality schools in Phang Nga. The faculty is planning research to be undertaken at those schools by its students and professors, as well as establishing the Math Learning Innovation Center and a network of Professional Learning Communities, or PLC."
