PKRU and NXPO work on personnel demand analysis in southern tourism industry
PRPKRU (June 22nd – 23rd, 2023) Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU) and Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO) arranged the workshop to survey and analyze the personnel demands of the entrepreneurs in southern tourism industry. The workshop was held at the Tian Sirinthorn Conference Room in the Chalerm Phrakiat Building, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Tawatchai Toomthong, PKRU Vice President in Academic Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Poonsak Kosiyaporn, the Deputy Director of NXPO, staff and representatives of local entrepreneurs of travel planning, transportation, visit experience, accommodation, food & beverage, and MICE attending.
PKRU has been working on developing tourism personnel education and aspires to be the education center for tourism and tourism personnel in ASEAN; thus, in this workshop, PKRU and NXPO conducted a survey and demand analysis among local entrepreneurs in order to develop a practical syllabus and educational policy, as well as educate students on the needs of local industry and entrepreneurs. This workshop symbolizes the strength movement in country development involving government agencies, commercial entities, and universities.
