PKRU introduces AI chatbot “LanGTa” to promote historical tourism in Ranong and Chumporn

PKRU (July 19th, 2023) Asst. Prof. Dr. Pita Jarupoonphon and Dr. Nasit Laosen, the lecturers from Faculty of Science and Technology at Phuket Rajabhat University attended the seminar Artificial Intelligent Platform Development for Metaverse Historical Tourism or AI-MHT and tested the AI – MHT in Suttha Tourism Route at Chumporn National Museum.
LanGTa 'Land of Gold', the AI chatbot developed by PKRU lecturers, is used to promote historical tourism in the Ranong and Chumporn areas. Asst. Dr. Panuwat Sa -ngiam, a lecturer at PKRU's Faculty of Humanity and Social Science, created the chatbot character. During this event, the developers tested the chatbot's accuracy of information in the tourism route alongside the relevant authorities.
The creation of this AI chatbot is a fusion of AI knowledge, virtual tourism routes, community tourism, historical tourism with Suwannabhumi history and civilization in order to better techniques and tools for educating people about Suwannabhumi's history through online channels and the internet.
