PKRU organizes "DGM Day 2024" to foster a sense of connection and inspiration among students and the business community.
The event 'DGM Day 2024' was sponsored by the Department of General Management, Faculty of Management Science at Phuket Rajabhat University on October 16, 2024, at the MS Convention Hall. The opening of the event was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Piangchit Tanticharaswarodom, the Vice President in International Affairs and Asset Management, who was appointed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn, the President of PKRU.
The event was attended by the chief of DGM, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nimit Soonsan, as well as lecturers and students. The seminar was featured at the event, titled "Way to Success: Perspectives and Advice from CEO – CEO Inspiration: Young Gen to New Gen." The executives from various businesses, including Khun Patcharee Rodsawat, the Branch Manager of Robinson PCL. (Chalong Branch), Khun Pattanapong Poonpat, the Regional Manager at Index Living Mall PCL. (Phuket Branch), and Khun Wichai Saiwaree, the Factory Manager at Pornthip (Phuket) Co., Ltd., were the primary speakers at this event.
An additional highlight of the event was the presentation of the 49 students who participated in the internship under the Cooperative Work and Integrated Education Program. The presentation was titled "CWIE DGM Best Practices: How Organizations Drive the SDGs through Student CWIE" and showcased the project under the SDGs that the students had worked on during their internship.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Nimit Soonsan stated that DGM Day demonstrates the strength of the connection between education and business and reflects the students' awareness of sustainable development. This event not only motivates students but also establishes a network between the educational and corporate sectors, which will facilitate future collaboration.
