The PKRU conceives a strategy for the advancement of the local community.
The workshop "Lesson Learned and Planning Towards the Movement for University Development 2025 - 2027" was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarnm, the President of Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU), Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangrat Koikitcharoen, the PKRU's Vice President in Academic Service and Research, Mrs. Tipaporn Pornpirom, the Director of the President's Office, and staff from the Division of Policy and Planning. The workshop took place from October 15th to 17th. The occasion was conducted at the Le Meridian Khaolak Resort and Spa.
The workshop was primarily instructed by the experts from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, including Prof. Dr. Rattachart Mongkolnawin and Mr. Panpermsak Arunee. The workshop's content placed a strong emphasis on the "role and mission of higher education institutes in Cluster 3 – community or other community development cluster and the concept of reinventing university." In addition, the participants were organized into groups and exchanged their knowledge and lessons learned. The pathway for operation improvement comprises the overall operation in 2024, the operation towards the administrative agreement of the president, vice presidents, assistant presidents, deans, and directors of departments, divisions, and institutes in 2024, the ONESQA assessment result and SAR assessment result from the 2023 academic year, and the progress in achieving the university strategy 2023–2027. The participants also engaged in a process of brainstorming to develop an improvement plan for 2025. They drafted a policy and pathway for the operation of higher education institutes in Cluster 3, which were intended to align with the standards of the higher education authority and reinvent the university. Additionally, the administrative agreement for the president, vice presidents, assistant presidents, deans, and directors of departments, divisions, and institutes in 2025 was developed in accordance with the results of the operation and the lessons learned.
