PKRU and Wollongong Australia arrange SDGs Camp 2024

On November 17, 2024, the Phuket Language Institute and International Affairs (PHULI PKRU) at Phuket Rajabhat University conducted the SDGs Camp 2024. During this occasion, the President of PKRU designated Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangrat Koikitcharoen, the Vice President of PKRU, to lead the university executives, staff, and students, both Thai and Chinese, in welcoming the students from the University of Wollongong (UOW), Australia, who came to join the camp and to explore Phuket.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangrat stated that Phuket Rajabhat University was classified as a University for Local Community Development by the Ministry of Higher Education. Consequently, the university's operations, which include instruction and learning management, research, academic services, and the conservation of arts and culture, were associated with local community development. Additionally, the university's policy is to establish itself as an international university by adhering to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in light of its location in a globally recognized tourist destination. The university has initiated a partnership with the University of Wollongong to improve the academic quality and student development, thereby contributing to the development of the local community. Additionally, it is anticipated that this SGGs Camp will serve as an advantageous commencement to the partnership between the two universities.
