PKRU & Phuket City Municipality hosts Youth Drive Safety Activity
(November 27th, 2024) Phuket City Municipality, Phuket Rajabhat University's Student Development Division, and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation collaborated on organizing the Youth Drive Safety activity at the Faculty of Education. Mr. Saroj Angkanapilas, Mayor of Phuket City Municipality, and Dr. Manop Chachiyo, PKRU's Vice President in Student Affairs, opened the activity. The ceremony was attended by representatives from government organizations, PKRU students, and local educational institutes. The main instructors for this event was from Honda Phuket Safe Driving Centre.
The goal of the activity was to teach youths about safe driving, driving rules, accident impact and prevention, and having a positive attitude toward driving. The youth who participated in the activity are expected to share what they have learned with their families and community members. In addition, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation and affiliated networks discussed the need of minimizing traffic accidents in Phuket at the event. Furthermore, this event provided an opportunity for students from three educational institutes, Phuket Rajabhat University, Phuket Vocational College, and Phuket Technical College, to meet, study, and exchange knowledge.
