Staff and students are instructed by PKRU on carbon footprint assessment in organization
(December 3, 2024). In order to educate its staff and students on the organization's greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint, the President's Office and Research and Development Institute at Phuket Rajabhat University organized the training. This training is a component of the university's environment protection drive, Rajabhat Rak Sing Waed Lom. The training was conducted at the Khunying Kanchana Na Ranong Conference Room in the PKRU Conference Center. The Vice President of PKRU, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tawatchai Tumthong, presided over the training's commencement. The training was attended by university staff and students from the Community Development Program. The primary instructors of the training were the committee members of the Thai Organic Consumer Association (TOCA) and the personnel from the Office of Environment and Pollution Control Area 15.
The global crisis has transitioned from global warming to global boiling as a result of greenhouse gas emissions and climate changes. We are obligated to provide assistance in addressing this critical crisis. Consequently, the purpose of this training was to provide individuals with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and techniques of carbon footprint assessment within the organization. This knowledge would enable them to determine the quantity of carbon footprint that has occurred during the organization's operations and to identify effective strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
