PKRU promotes the use of science, technology, and innovation to enhance the products of OTOP entrepreneurs

(December 17, 2024). The community product development project 2025 was organized by the Research and Development Institute at Phuket Rajabhat University through the activity "Knowledge and Understanding in OTOP Product Development by Science, Technology, and Innovation." The conference chamber in the Petch Pumipat Building was the location of the activity. The opening of the activity was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tawatchai Thumthong, PKRU's Vice President in Academic Affairs. The participants included Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangrat Koikitcharoen, the Vice President in Planning, Academic Services, and Research, as well as lecturers and local entrepreneurs.
Mr. Akapong Musikacharoen, the Director of the Science, Research, and Innovation Promotion and Utilization Division in the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, served as the primary instructor for this activity.

The objectives of this activity are to increase the awareness, knowledge, and comprehension of entrepreneurs regarding product development and improvement, to provide them with recommendations and solutions for productions, to introduce the community product development and improvement concept (Pitching), technical techniques in product development, and advice for the development of project proposals that will be submitted for funding. Currently, the following eight project proposals are anticipated for submission for funding:
1. Project on the Development of a Finishing Process to Add Fragrance to Printed Fabrics from Natural Leaves - MeeaoM CraftS, Phuket
2. Project of Plant-Based Spread Product from Schizophyllum Commune – Baab Por Piang Phuket
3. Project for the Development of Production Processes and Packaging Impacting the Product of Crispy Fish and Chili Paste in Order to Prepare for Standard Certification
4. Project to Enhance the Production Process and Packaging of Moo Hong Product to Improve Its Shelf Life and Packaging Design for Distribution
5. Project to Enhance the Production Process and Increase the Shelf Life of Ready-to-Drink Mushroom Juice Products, Organic Mushroom Cultivation Community Enterprise, Ban Lipon Hua Harn - Bo Rae, Phuket Province
6. The Project to Develop the Production Process of Printed Fabrics with Botanical Patterns, Natural Water-repellent Batik, and Innovative Printing Inks, Patterns from Local Resources to Identity Fabric Products, Helps Promoting Tourism on the Andaman Coast
7. Project to Create Hair Care Spray and Serum Formulas from Local Extracts, Arun Farm, Phuket Province
8. Phuket Province Portable Garcinia Juice Herbal Drink Packaging Development Project
