PKRU support Chalong Restaurant Entrepreneurs to get Halal Certified Kitchen

The Andaman Halal Science Center, under the Faculty of Agricultural Science at Phuket Rajabht University, engaged on the PKRU Re-inventing Project in the fiscal year 2024. The center assisted restaurant entrepreneurs in the Chalong area in obtaining Halal certification for their facilities. The center co-operates with the Phuket Provincial Islamic Committee, Chalong Municipality, and Robinson Phuket Department Store to facilitate Halal certification and training. Four restaurants at the Robinson Department Store Chalong Branch participated in the initiative and were awarded Halal certification for their kitchens. These restaurants are Halal Street Food, Kan Thep Beef Noodle, Roti Cha Chak Station, and Areefah Halal Kitchen. In serving Halal cuisine, these Halal-certified restaurants would instill confidence in Thai and international Muslim tourists. This initiative is seen as a significant undertaking by the Andaman Halal Science Center, as it enhances the quality of entrepreneurs in Phuket.
