Background and Objectives of the No Gift Policy

This policy aligns with Thailand’s National Strategy Master Plan (2023–2037) (Revised Edition) on anti-corruption and misconduct prevention, which focuses on cultivating ethical values among youth and future generations. It aims to foster integrity and collective responsibility in tackling corruption while promoting transparency and accountability in public administration.

Under the Fourth National Reform Initiative — “Enhancing Transparency and Eliminating Conflicts of Interest in Thai Public Administration” — all government agencies are encouraged to declare themselves as “No Gift Policy” organizations, meaning that their personnel must not accept gifts, souvenirs, or any forms of benefits arising from their official duties.

PKRU has adopted this policy to uphold good governance and strengthen public confidence in the university as an ethically driven institution.

Key Highlights of PKRU’s No Gift Policy

All university executives, faculty members, and staff are strictly prohibited from accepting or offering gifts, gratuities, or other benefits before, during, or after performing official duties.

Employees must carry out their responsibilities with integrity, transparency, and accountability, avoiding any actions that could lead to corruption or conflicts of interest.

The university commits to promoting a culture of honesty and ethical conduct, fostering sustainable organizational transparency.

Giving or receiving small tokens, souvenirs, or other gestures of goodwill for traditional, cultural, or customary reasons may still be acceptable only if they comply with applicable laws, the Constitution, Cabinet resolutions, and relevant regulations.
