Under the MRA on TP framework, certified assessment centers are authorized by the Department of Tourism to evaluate the competency of tourism professionals in Thailand according to ASEAN standards. These centers must meet strict qualifications and undergo specialized training to ensure that their assessments comply with international benchmarks. Upon successful assessment, candidates receive an official ASEAN Competency Certificate, validating their professional skills and qualifications for regional mobility within ASEAN member states.

PKRU’s newly certified Tourism Workforce Assessment Center will focus on the Hotel Services Sector – Housekeeping Department (HK), covering competency assessments for the following positions:

  • Floor Supervisor
  • Room Attendant
  • Public Area Cleaner

This achievement marks a significant milestone in PKRU’s mission to advance academic services, foster workforce development, and strengthen the tourism and hospitality industry. The success was made possible under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Weeraphat Chotiviriyakul, Head of the Hotel Business Management Program, Asst. Prof. Nongyao Prasomthong, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, and Mr. Worapot Treesuk, Director of the CCD, whose dedication and collaboration played a pivotal role in securing this recognition.
