26 September 2025 — Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU), through its Student Development Division, held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Muslim Alumni Club of Prince of Songkla University at the “To Be Number One” Meeting Room, Student Affairs Building.

The ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, President of PKRU, together with Mr. Abdolazid Bennui, President of the PSU Muslim Alumni Club; Dr. Manop Chachiyo, Vice President for Student Affairs; and Mr. Mahama Fauzi Masoh, President of the Zakat Fund. PKRU executives, staff, and students also attended.

This collaboration aims to provide scholarships for PKRU students who meet Islamic religious criteria, enabling them to complete their studies through graduation. It also seeks to cultivate awareness among students of the importance of living in accordance with Islamic principles.

Following the signing, the Zakat Fund of the PSU Muslim Alumni Club awarded two scholarships to PKRU students, each valued at 20,000 baht per academic year until completion of their undergraduate degrees.
