PKRU Receives Bhunthin Attagara Attakorn Awards 2024 for Outstanding Teaching Lecturer and Outstanding Lecturer in Local Community Development

(29 September 2025) Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thawatchai Thoomthong, Vice President for Academic Affairs, joined the ceremony commemorating the “Anniversary of the Establishment of the Department of Teacher Training and the 133rd Anniversary of Thai Teacher Training” held at the Buddhavichalai Building, Phranakhon Rajabhat University, Bangkok.
On this occasion, the Vice President extended congratulations to academic staff members from the Faculty of Education, PKRU, who received the prestigious Bhunthin Attagara Awards 2024.
Ms. Pornthip Sukphem received the award for Outstanding Teaching Lecturer.
Ms. Darin Boonsri received the award for Outstanding Lecturer in Local Community Development (Rural Development).
The event was jointly organized by the Rajabhat University Foundation and all Rajabhat universities nationwide. It aimed to honor and express gratitude for the benevolence of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), who established Thailand’s first teacher training school in 1892 (2435 B.E.), and King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX), who graciously bestowed the name “Rajabhat” in 1992 (2535 B.E.). The ceremony also served to preserve and carry forward the proud tradition of Thai teacher training.
