(October 15, 2025) – Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU), through the Faculty of Science and Technology, organized a Professional Lecturer Development Project under the activity “Workshop on Curriculum Improvement Based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Cooperative and Work Integrated Education (CWIE)”. The event was presided over and led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thawatchai Thoomthong, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who also served as the keynote speaker and trainer. Joining the event were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Putsadee Phonphon, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, along with faculty members and program committees from the faculty. The workshop took place at Thiansirindhorn Meeting Room, Chalermprakiat Building, PKRU.

This curriculum development workshop was organized in response to the Faculty of Science and Technology’s ongoing revision of four academic programs, with one additional program scheduled for revision next year. The session aimed to strengthen faculty members’ understanding and capacity in designing and revising academic programs in line with university quality standards and educational frameworks.

The objectives of the workshop were to equip program heads, curriculum committee members, and lecturers with a clear understanding of OBE and CWIE-based curriculum design principles and to enable them to apply this knowledge effectively in curriculum development. Moreover, the training aimed to enhance the ability of lecturers to design teaching and learning processes aligned with learning outcomes, ensuring the continuous improvement and relevance of academic programs.
