Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU) continued to fulfill its mission to serve the local community as Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, President of PKRU, together with the university administrators, participated in a grand ceremony and commemorative event entitled “Following in the Footsteps of Her Majesty the Queen Mother,” hosted by Phetchaburi Rajabhat University.
The PKRU delegations joined the ceremony held in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, expressing profound respect and gratitude for Her Majesty’s lifelong dedication to the nation.

The event was presided over by Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, committee and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, with the attendance of provincial governors, university executives, and representatives from Rajabhat Universities nationwide.

The ceremony took place from 4–6 December 2025 at the King Mongkut Memorial Park (Khao Wang), Phetchaburi Province, and featured special exhibitions honoring Her Majesty the Queen Mother, along with international cultural performances from countries such as Bulgaria, the Philippines, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Myanmar, and Ukraine.

A key purpose of the event was to commemorate Her Majesty’s contributions to improving the quality of life of the Thai people, promoting cultural preservation, and enhancing cultural heritage from local communities to the international stage. In addition, the event aimed to raise scholarship funds for outstanding Rajabhat students with financial difficulties.

PKRU’s participation also provided opportunities for academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and partnership building with Rajabhat universities across Thailand. This initiative supports the university’s mission to enhance education, research, and academic services, in order to sustainably elevate the quality of life of local communities in Phuket and the southern region following the path laid down by Her Majesty the Queen Mother.
