On 18 February 2026, at Supannika Meeting Room, 4th Floor, Chalermphrakiat Building, Phuket Rajabhat University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thawatchai Thoomthong, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Phuket Rajabhat University, and Mr. Arwut Noochet, Deputy Mayor of Patong Municipality, presided over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Phuket Rajabhat University and Patong Municipality.

The agreement reflects a shared commitment to integrating academic collaboration, research, knowledge transfer, and technological development for practical implementation in the local area. The ceremony was witnessed by university executives and faculty members, as well as officials from the Public Health and Environment Division of Patong Municipality.

This MOA signifies a joint intention to conduct research and develop innovations in waste material management, particularly focusing on coconut husk waste in Patong Subdistrict. The initiative aims to add value to reusable materials, reduce waste volume, and promote the creative development of community products. Ultimately, the collaboration seeks to strengthen the local grassroots economy and sustainably enhance the quality of life of residents in Patong Subdistrict.
