Lalitpan or ‘Dream’ from PKRU is a finalist for USA scholarship

PKRU got good news again when Lalitpan Suwanchatree, nicknamed ‘Dream’, a third year student in English for Hospitality Industry Program at the Faculty of Humanity and Social Science, passed an interview and essay stage to be one of the ten finalists to be awarded scholarships from FULBRIGHT: Thailand-United States Educational Foundation. This scholarship gives an opportunity for Thai students to study in the United States of America for one semester, (Dream passed the interview and there is only a TOEFL test to complete).
She revealed that “I participated in the project under the responsibility of the International Affairs Division at Phuket Rajabhat University. I chose to apply for FULBRIGHT 2021 as it is a full scholarship with an opportunity to study English and experience other activities from FULBRIGHT in America. I was so excited and it was beyond my expectation to be one of ten finalists in this program as there were applicants from universities all around Thailand. In the essay submitted to the foundation, I wrote about my dream to use the skills learnt abroad to develop my community or to encourage other Thai students to look for the chance to improve their abilities.”
This student, who wants to be a volunteer in social work, also expressed her gratitude to the lecturers in English for Hospitality Industry Program for their training and advice in writing the essay and preparing for the interview; as well as the International Affairs Division for recommending interesting projects to the students e.g. International Design Thinking in Taiwan and this scholarship from FULBRIGHT.
