Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn said that “PKRU founded PCIT with an intention to work on tourism development at an international level. The college also plays an important role in study and development in area tourism in local communities. The university has recruited academic staff and researchers in various fields to work with the college to promote tourism and service capacity by providing databases and developing attraction routes; this would enhance quality of life of people in the communities, which is one of the main missions of the university. The university has been working in the service area by visiting communities in order to analyze, develop, and expand tourism as well as to explore new attraction routes which would revive the local ways of life. The researchers need to be skillful and understand how the way to work right to help the community. Therefore, PCIT Research and Innovation Development was initiated with assistance from the instructors specialized in area tourism development, who can share their knowledge, research, innovation and services in tourism, which would directly benefit local communities”.
